PharmacyTrainer has established this list of prerequisites to facilitate the best learning experience for our students and to comply with the requirements of the states in which we operate. These requirements include those maintained by most state boards of pharmacy and the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.

All applicants must:
1. possess their high school diploma or GED or be enrolled in a program to obtain it*
2. have no criminal history of felony or drug related arrests
3. be able to communicate fluently in speech and writing via the English language
4. have a working knowledge of the personal computer (PC)
5. have access to the internet (public libraries may be able to provide this access)
6. comply with applicable regulations in their state regarding licensure or registration**

*Foreign students are encouraged to contact the PTCB and State Board of Pharmacy to determine if your educational documentation will suffice for licensure, registration, or application for the certification examination before you enroll in our class. Students who have not completed their high school or GED program may not be able to sit for the certification examination until they have done so.

** In states where it is allowed, students need to apply for their technician registration or licensure as soon as possible.
